Debra Sheehan, Owner, Licensed Tax Consultant, Enrolled Agent
Since 1996, Debra has been putting her degree as an accountant, along with her five years of experience as a state auditor, to work for her clients. “Being a tax auditor for the state of Oregon gave me a unique perspective on tax planning and preparation,” says Debra, “and purchasing Beavercreek Tax Service in 2006 gave me the opportunity to use that experience to serve my clients.”

Janel Gelien, Office Manager
Janel has been with Beavercreek Tax Service for 20 years, first in its original location in Beavercreek and then transitioning to the Oregon City location in 2006. As office manager, Janel is usually the first friendly face clients see when they walk in the door and the first voice they hear when calling on the phone.
Janel is a longtime resident of Beavercreek where she lives with her general contractor husband of 40 years, Michael. They have three beautiful grown daughters, twins Julia and Erin and their younger sister Amy. A pair and a spare. She enjoys country living in a cozy log cabin which is like staying in a vacation home year round.
Robin Summers- Licensed Tax Consultant, Enrolled Agent
Robin received her accounting degree from Portland State University. She is a Licensed Tax Consultant with the State of Oregon and an Enrolled Agent under circular 230 of the Internal Revenue Service and is experienced in all facets of tax preparation. Robin is also certified as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a Notary. She also currently serves as Vice-President for the Clackamas Chapter of the Oregon Association of Tax Consultants (OATC).
Robin and Debra Sheehan co-own and operate S&S Tax and Bookkeeping Services in downtown Estacada. Robin has graciously made herself available for tax appointments on Tuesdays here at Beavercreek Tax Service while Debra will extend the same courtesy to the S&S office. On her days off, Robin loves to spend time with her 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren. She is now also the proud Great Grandma of baby Dylan.
Kara L Oaks Licensed Tax Preparer
Kara has been in the field of Accounting and Finance for over 26 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from California State University Fresno. She has used her accounting skills in various industries over the years including foodservice, retail, accounting software solutions, paper manufacturing, and she currently works as the Finance Secretary for a local not-for-profit organization.
Always looking for new challenges, Kara completed the 80-hour tax course and successfully passed Oregon’s LTP exam in 2013. She began working with Beavercreek Tax Service in 2015.
She currently volunteers on the supervisory committee for a local credit union. In her spare time she loves to read, hike, and garden. Kara is married and has 6 step-daughters and 4 grandchildren.
Barbara McCain, LTP
Barbara McCain is a Licensed Tax Preparer with extensive experience in military taxes and Veterans issues. Barbara first began her interest in Taxes while a young Army wife stationed in Bamberg, Germany. Over her career, Barbara has been Controller of multiple successful construction companies and brings excellent organizational skills in asset tracking, job costing, payroll and program management.
Most recently, Barbara opened and operated the Army Strong Community Center at Clackamas Community College. For three years she served as Director and Resource Coordinator for local military families. Barbara says thank you, military community and families, for your service.
Now semi-retired (except for tax season) Barbara and husband Barry live in Texas where they enjoy the company of their children. Son Cody is an Army Veteran and former combat medic, and their paramedic daughter Katie lives nearby with husband Jeremy, and Barbara and Barry’s four year old Granddaughter Sadie (bugs) Nicole.
Kassandra Young, LTP
Kassandra's background as a full-charge bookkeeper, owning and managing small businesses and her love of living on a farm, brings a fresh perspective to our business. She is a licensed tax practitioner, with experience focusing on small business and farm returns. When she doesn't have her nose in the books, she can be found riding her horse, driving the tractor or spending time with her family.
Amber Skyles, Office Assistant
Amber was a Service Supervisor at a local Heating and Cooling company for 16 years. Most recently she worked for 3 years as a medical assistant supervisor at a nonprofit company. Amber is very outgoing and has 20 years of experience in customer service, accounting, payroll and receivables. She is also a notary public.
Amber has been working in the tax field for over 4 years with her mom Debra and her help is invaluable at this office.
When Amber has any free time she spends it with her husband of fifteen years, William and their blended family of 6 children, Ashley, Alanna, Tyler, Bryce and twins Dietrich and Kayden. Amber has 3 grandchildren, Lincoln, Quinn and Diana. She also takes care of her disabled brother Barnaby when she is not working. Can’t forget family dogs, English mastiff George and Great Dane, Freddy.
Judy Platt, Licensed Tax Consultant, Enrolled Agent
Judy brings 22 years of experience in tax preparation to our office. She began preparing taxes in 1994 for Chambers Tax Service, worked 2 years for Beavercreek Tax Service and retired in 2016 after working 9 years for a CPA firm in Portland. She is now working again for Beavercreek Tax Service part time final checking tax returns. In her spare time she enjoys traveling in her motorhome, spending time with her daughters and grandchildren, going to the gym and reading.
